Giving Peace a Chance Nonviolence is a powerful and just weapon, which cuts without wounding and ennobles those who wield it. Its a sword that heals. - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Shouts out to everybody who left the warmth of hearth and home this weekend to travel to chilly Washington DC. George W needs to know that if he doesnt let the inspections work and he declares war on Iraq, hes doing it without the peoples support...and we are the people. Damn it! Its one thing to sign the on-line petition from the comfort of your home. (I did It) quite another to get on the bus, travel long distances to make your voice heard. (I didn't, but Jared did and we will be wanting to hear a full report) Civil disobedience; its a beautiful thing. So, for everybody that got on the bus, sing a chorus of Give Peace a Chance for Me and know you have my respect. And whats up with Sunday being declared National Sanctity of Human Life Day. Can you say 'wag-the-dog'? Does this sanctity extend to the already born people of Iraq who cant help it if their nations leader is a tyrant? And dont we know just how they feel. Meanwhile Ari Fleisher says I think the president welcomes the fact that we are a democracy and people in the United States, unlike Iraq, are free to protest and to make their case known You can read more about ANSWER Here Or you can even sign an on-line petition here, from the comfort of you own nice warm home HERE
