I'm loving the new site and had hours of fun with the random feature last night. For the Friday Five: 1. I would have liked to have had dinner with David Niven. I don't know why. 2. I was devastated when Marvin Gaye was shot dead by his father, because of the horror and sadness of the action, and because there would be no more music from Marvin. 3. I would like to be Jennifer Aniston so I could stare at Brad Pitt for 24 hours and have him look back at me with love in his eyes. 4. I used to look like Barry Manilow and once was actually asked for an autograph outside the concert hall where he was appearing! 5. I met Joni Mitchell once when I was flying from New York to Toronto and we were seated next to each other. She was a pleasant travelling companion. (This, incidentally, was after the 1969 Stonewall Weekend - I had gone to the Stonewall the night after the historic "riot", not having been able to find the place the night before. No one then realized the significance of what had occurred.)

I would love to eat dinner with William Shakespeare and find out how he made his passion for writing such a passion for others famous death - too cliche -but Princess Diana - it made me know that everybody is mortal- and it was such a shock Want to be famous person - HEATH LEDGER -want to see how it feels to be looked at constantly as pure male sex on a stick look like?- a few years ago like Ben Stiller - my ex boyfriend was a dead ringer for Dean Cain Met semi famous -Olympic Figure skater Nancy Kerrigan a month before her infamous leg whompping incident. Shared a seat next to her on a flight from LA to Atlanta and she talked all the way. Very sweet girl. And most recently - The Queer Eye for the Straight Guy: TV contestant John Zimmerman; met him at a figure skating event here in his hometown of Birmingham Al. and was goofy over his handsomeness. Very even and humorous guy. Gave him a ride home from the skating rink. OH - Had Lunch with VERA WANG (dress designer) by accident as we shared a table at the busy Balthazar's in NYC with her and her husband . She grinned so much over my southern accent !! biggest ? - Who gets the socks for March ????

Dinner with Malcom Lowry, have all kinds of questions for him, or else the future ex-Mrs Travis, Rachel Ray. WE will talk about you JJ, swear. Famous person dying, Elvis, even tho I was a child, they played elvis movies non-stop on tv, and it may have been the first time I was aware that a celebrity was also a real person and could have things happen to them. Famous person I want to be? I'll pick Brad Pitt, cuz' I wouldn't mind some Jennifer Aniston quality time, but also because it would intersting to be famous and pretty for a day. People say I look like Keifer Southerland, which is more of a compliment now that he is on TV and looking fitter than a few years ago. Who have I met? Carl Lewis, was polite and friendly, but clearly we were interrupting what he was there to do. Who else? Kiefer Southerland and Charlie Sheen back in SantaFe during Young Guns filming. Kiefer said I had an unusual name, I said same to you, he laughed. Saw him a few days later in the mall and he remembered my name. Oh, and I took Stella McCartney, (yes Sir Pauls oldest daughter) to a halloween party when I was in jr high. And are there really prizes for this?

Markus, I'll back you on the Princess Di thing. The gals talked it over and decided it was because, except for the massive fame and wealth, her life was much like ours - married at a young age to a philandering man who was too attached to his momma, and struggling to get back on her feet when it all blew up. I felt certain that if we had the opportunity to sit down for lunch, we would have been able to talk like old friends. JJ, love the archives. Your stories touch and entertain me no end.

1. If you could eat dinner with and "get to know" one famous person (living or dead), who would you choose? diana kennedy. especially if she let me cook it with her. 2. Has the death of a famous person ever had an effect on you? Who was it and how did you feel? i remember when elvis died. i was in the back seat and my ma and sis were in the front seat of our car. ma said something about what was said on the radio, and my sis started punching buttons to find news. i remember looking out of the window and noticing every woman crying. every car we passed on the way home had people crying. i felt hongry. 3. If you could BE a famous person for 24 hours, who would you choose? justin timberlake. i'd make up with britney and then dump her for chad allen. 4. Do people ever tell you that you look like someone famous? Who? dave foley, although it was more common when 'news radio' was still on the air. i'd never watched the show until most of my crew called me dave. lol i was soooo him with my cup of coffee, and my comments and reactions when others would be stressing out. 5. Have you ever met anyone famous? sandy duncan (she don't always eat at whataburger when in tyler tx), moe bandy, and garner ted armstrong (a regular, a good tipper, and soooo much easier to wait on than the baptists.)
