August Already?

How did THAT happen? Hawk has a B-day coming up on the 10th. His 38th! Anybody have a brilliant gift suggestion?

Hawk was excited last week when Kansas City was named the 2nd worse city in the USA to have asthma. It's a combination of pollen, mold and humidity. Plenty of job security for 'ol Doc Hawk. Tuscon, AZ was #1, just for the record.

And speaking of Number #1, your Royals are now TIED with the Chicago White Sox for first place. The Sox have been on a tear since the All-Star break and beating up on everybody. I guess nobody told the Sox that this wasn't their year.They sure kicked our Royal Blue ass

The Boyfriend has received a full scholarship to the Art Institute in San Diego. San Diego; home of Marines and perfect weather. We will miss him, but what an opportunity.

Ray and Michael had such fun painting a few weekends ago that they have decided to tackle the 3rd floor hall and staircase. As usual, I am hiding out and trying my best to avoid work. My latest excuse: 'Have to have these socks finished for back-to-school'

Word from Australia is that Noah's liver continues to be uncooperative. THINK PINK! Everyone needs to go out an have a little extra fun this weekend. Some for you and some for Noah. You know damn well he wouldn't want you sitting home crying. He wants you to keep the party going until he gets back into it.

So, go out and kiss a cute boy for Noah this weekend, and don't forget your affirmations*

Here's the Friday Five, only a day late:

1. What time do you wake up on weekday mornings?

Usually 5:15-5:30. Hawk has to be at the hospital at 7am and I get up with him. He couldn't possibly be expected to make his own coffee.

2. Do you sleep in on the weekends? How late?

Sleeping late is a nice idea in theory, but my body won't let me sleep much past 7am.

3. Aside from waking up, what is the first thing you do in the morning?

Pee. Doesn't everyone?

4. How long does it take to get ready for your day?

30-45 min. My hair is low-maintenance these days

5. When possible, what is your favorite place to go for breakfast?

The country club has an awesome Sunday Brunch with omelettes to order and a chocolate bar. A perfect Sunday includes an early round of golf, brunch then an afternoon nap with somebody special.
