Who�s Your Daddy?

I was going to write a little something about Father�s Day, my Father and what it means to be a Father, but then I realized I pretty much said it all last year on this day.

We had a nice, quiet day. Chicken (yes, those chickens) were cooked on the grill, potato salad, green beans, corn on the cob and there was an ice cream pie for dessert. Dad and I watched the Royals-Giants game from the Joey and Chandler recliners and had a few beers. Dad doesn�t remember the players from one game to the next, but he can still appreciate a well-turned double play or a blistering line drive, right up the middle.

And of course, you don�t need a memory to enjoy ice cream pie. You just need a spoon.

Maria gave me a coffee mug that said �World�s Best Dad� filled with Hershey kisses. The title would be more of an honor if Hawk hadn�t received one too, but I am willing to share with him. We share everything else.
