Autumn
Can you believe it's the last day of August already? School has started, the stores are filled with Halloween decorations. Swimwear and beachtowels are on the 75% off rack. I'm thinking about getting the sweaters out of the cedar closet and knitting the boys some socks but it's still freakin' 90 degrees outside.
I don't like this whole 'back-to-school-labor day' means it's the end of summer mentality. I am not ready to throw away my white shoes yet. I still want iced coffee and fresh veggies and the boys to be mowing without their shirts.
It's not autumn until you open the front door and the cool air has a certain smell. It's not Autumn until it's more golden outside than green.
I don't care what the calendar says
